Dermolipectomy consists in excising redundant skin, when there is a great flaccidity, or after a liposuction in order to contract and conform the skin to avoid it from dropping. This procedure improves the body contouring, and the most common ones are: abdominoplasty, dermolipectomy on the inner arms, and inner thighs.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with some sedative products. Hospitalization is not needed in case it is a simple dermolipectmy, but if it is a large dermolipectomy, general anesthesia is recommended.
