Otoplasty is the intervention
used for the correction of the prominent outer ear, as well
as for reducing its size in case it is necessary. Incision
is made in the back of the ear, as from where the surgeon
models the cartilage creating a new form of it.
Time: 1-2 hours.
Anesthesia: Local anesthesia with sedative products are used,
children are operated under total anesthesia.
Hospitalization is not needed since the surgeries are ambulatory.
After the surgery, the patient stays in the clinic under observation
in a comfortable recovery room.
